Within Las Noches in Hueco Mundo, Patros walks down a hallway and opens the door to a chamber containing Sousuke Aizen's throne and the Hōgyoku, with a smiling Aizen sitting on the throne. However, when Patros walks over to the throne from behind, he sees that it is empty and smirks at this prior to turning to the Hōgyoku on its exposed platform, which he notes is in the place he expected it to be.
Before Patros can take the Hōgyoku, Ulquiorra Cifer appears in the doorway behind him and questions what he is doing.
