Upon seeing one of them approaching him, Ichigo stops and fends off two of the clones with his jagged sword before blocking the strike of a third from behind, only for that Zangetsu's subsequent attack to shatter his sword, sending Ichigo skidding back along the ground, where he falls to one knee and pants heavily.
