At the Urahara Shop, Tessai Tsukabishi carries a protesting 4th Division 7th Seat Hanatarō Yamada down the hallway and into the back room, where Hanatarō questions what this is about since he still has to tend to the register at the convenience store before expressing shock upon seeing 6th Division Lieutenant Renji Abarai and the boy he was protecting lying unconscious on two bedspreads with pained expressions. With Kisuke Urahara noting that he is now aware of their situation, a horrified Hanatarō exits his Gigai, which Tessai grabs, and moves to Renji's side.
