Yuji is brought to Tokyo Jujutsu High, where Principal Gakuganji wants him executed — a vessel for the King of Curses is too dangerous to leave alive. Gojo intervenes, proposing an alternative: let Yuji consume all twenty of Sukuna's fingers, concentrating the curse into one killable vessel.

Yuji's execution is postponed. He meets the school, sees the world of jujutsu for the first time, and begins to understand that his grandfather's wish — to die a proper death — might be the hardest thing he's ever been asked to do.
